Hello. My fiancé and I, Phillip, have been DIRECTV customers for about a year and a half. Lately, we’ve been having a no signal problem. Well your employee, Tim Beeney, came in and went above and beyond what we asked for. We were seriously thinking about going back to Comcast, and he totally diverted us from that. We are especially grateful for his service and want him to be accommodated properly. We tried to buy him dinner for his service, but he graciously declined as he had another job to go to after us. Again, we appreciate everything he did for us!

Great Job – Joshua Chadwick

My name is Mario. I had requested service from DIRECTV and that appointment was a week ago, 8/9/2012.

The service I received was excellent. The man you sent out, Josh Chadwick, did a great job. He was thorough, he explained everything to me, and he went above and beyond what I had requested service wise by noting several things that previous installers had done incorrectly and taking care of it.

He took the time to do things correctly, and made sure in the end that the service was at the highest levels.

I asked him to provide me his supervisor’s contact information because I wanted to make sure that I was able to express the fact that he did such a great job to that supervisor.

Please let me know if there are any further details or clarifications I can provide. Thank you for training your staff to provide such excellent service! It is part of the reason that I am such a loyal DIRECTV customer.

Great Job – Cody Miller

I wanted to let you know about a technician that came to my house. Not only was my problem fixed in 20 minutes, but he also fixed other stuff that I didn’t know was a problem. My coax cable was run under ground and was not grounded. He pulled the old coax and ran new, and then he grounded it all. After that he made sure all receivers worked and we started talking about On Demand. He said it was pretty cool and would only take a few minutes to connect. He connected it and noticed that I had a HD receiver in the bedroom. He asked me if I wanted to view my DVR programs upstairs. And I said that would be great. He was done with that in about 5 minutes. Thank you for sending a knowledgeable technician out. He really cared about what I wanted from the service and didn’t care that it took extra time. His name is Cody Miller Tech.

Great Job – Matt Magelitz

Mr. Mandel:

I switched from a competitor to your system this week and I just wanted to drop you a note and tell you how impressed I was with your installer, Mat Magelitz.

Matt took the time to do the job right and to explain the system to my family.

I have served as a member of the Illinois House of Representatives for the last 11 years and am used to dealing with the ups and downs of the general public.  I understand how valuable both positive and negative feedback can be.

With that in mind, I think it’s important to let you know that you not only have a good employee, you have a good ambassador.

Great Job – Jeff Johnson

On March 12, 2012, a service representative from your company came to my home to install the DIRECTV Whole Home DVR system. I would like to take this opportunity to commend this service technician, Jeff Johnson.

We have had numerous service technicians for DIRECTV come to perform requested service over the 5 years we have had DIRECTV, and none have performed in such a professional manner. The original installation placed our dish on the back of our house near the roof and ran all of the necessary cables ( 2 DVR receivers and 2 HD receivers) straight down from that location, crossing the siding and running along the side of a bedroom window, to approximately 1.5′ above the ground and then ran them horizontally along the back of the house to their points of entry into the house for each receiver. This installation was very unsightly and has bothered me since it was installed. Jeff secured the dish mount (Evidently broken over time from high winds), rerouted the cables so that they are barely visible and secured them so that they will not become entangled in landscaping. Jeff was very knowledgeable and thorough in his work. I am sure he had other calls to make in addition to our installation, but he took pride in doing the job the right way no matter how long it might take. In my opinion, our DIRECTV had not been installed properly from the beginning and Jeff was the only technician ever to service our DIRECTV that took the time to do the job right and correct the original installation. Jeff answered all of our questions concerning the Whole Home DVR operation and made sure that all equipment was operating properly before he left. I did receive an automated call from DIRECTV after the service call and gave the service I received a rating of 10, but felt this was not nearly enough to express my complete satisfaction with the service I received. DIRECTV could use a lot more service technicians like Jeff Johnson.

Great Job – Matt Magelitz

Dear Sir, I had the pleasure of meeting one of your installers, Matt Magelitz. Matt does a very good job of representing DIRECTV. Matt called about 20 minutes from arriving, came to the door clean, well mannered, and showed me his company ID. Matt came in and looked at what work was to be done. He found some old cable he said would work OK, but when I got my new HDTVs it would not have the quality picture that DIRECTV can deliver, so he replaced it. I work as a lineman on high voltage lines and understand that he took his job and service of your company very seriously, and I did like this. He went beyond his duty to help me understand the remote and how to use it. I told him I had a friend that has DIRECTV and was not happy, he took the time to call him and try to help him with who to call. My dad was interested in a mirror service add-on and called it in and requested Matt. He showed up the next day (by DIRECTV’s orders) and completed it. My dad was very impressed with Matt and the job he did for him. Matt is an ASSET to DIRECTV. I hope I am as happy with DIRECTV as I am with the man you sent to install it.
